Whimsy Fish Arts - New ETT SOTW

Meet Maxine Forward of Whimsy Fish Arts, this week's ETT SOTW, who likes to "mix things up a bit." She creates bright, colorful and yes, "whimsical" jewelry and knitwear. She often incorporates repurposed or recycled objects she finds at local antique shops or flea markets into her work.

Her work is influenced by her travels, women in her local knitting group and favorite artists, Van Gogh and Botticelli. According to Maxine, "(Her) most influential teacher was the immensely talented John Grillo who (she) had as a painting instructor at U Mass. He was a sharp critic, but always kind and very generous with his time. I love geometric designs and he helped me develop in the direction."
